How to Use a Sewing Pattern
This introductory class is designed for the absolute beginner. You will gain a thorough understanding of essential terminology, including:
Pattern Markings: Cutting lines, fold lines, grainline, seam allowance, and symbols like notches, darts, and buttonhole markings.
Fabric and Pattern Use: Identifying fabric direction, understanding balance points, and using adjustment lines to modify pattern length.

Anatomy of a Zipper
This class is another skill builder especially for the beginning stitcher. Students will learn how to install a standard zipper in three ways; a center installation, a lap installation and a hand installation. If time permits we will also install an invisible zipper.
