This class is the perfect next step if you have already completed "Getting to Know Your Sewing Part: 1." In this session, we will practice essential skills such as threading the sewing machine, winding the bobbin, and utilizing your machine's specialty feet.

How to Use a Sewing Pattern
This introductory class is designed for the absolute beginner. You will gain a thorough understanding of essential terminology, including:
Pattern Markings: Cutting lines, fold lines, grainline, seam allowance, and symbols like notches, darts, and buttonhole markings.
Fabric and Pattern Use: Identifying fabric direction, understanding balance points, and using adjustment lines to modify pattern length.

This class is another skill builder especially for the beginning stitcher. Students will learn how to install a standard zipper in three ways; a center installation, a lap installation and a hand installation. If time permits we will also install an invisible zipper.
